More Venture 50 Help
Hi,
Think I solved the tail issue. Now it spins down with the main blades. While I was about the land this afternoon, all of a sudden the left ccpm servo dropped and I almost crashed it. It dropped for about a second, and came back up just in time. I thought I had a stripped servo (Hitech 5625 MG digital), but it tested out okay. Would a "glitch" in the radio cause it to do that? I have a fresh 2700mah battery pack from Horizon, after 1.5 flights, the voltage w/1amp load dropped to 4.2v. Is that normal? Rest of the electronics on the heli are:

3x 5625 digital servos
1x JR 500t gyro
1x 8700 tail servo
1x standard servo on throttle
1x JR 649 Receiver (9-Channel PCM), fitted with Deans 2-piece whip antenna.

Thanks for your help
Tony.

First thing that jumps out at me is the Dean's whip. Check your connections and, if you haven't done so already, solder that sucker. That push-connector will bite you right square on the butt. You indicate you are using a PCM rx, so I have to assume you are using a PCM transmitter. When a PCM receiver takes a hit (fail-safe), it stays at the last known good setting. Sounds to me like you may have an antenna problem.

Thanks, I'll solder them
Thanks for the help. I will solder them tonight.... In Dean's instruction, it says to never use a wrench to tighten the antenna to the base, is there a particular reason? I don't see how the antenna will stay on the base with out locktite or some good wrenching.
