Futaba
9202 would be a good choice. 9252 will work though.

Why would 9202 be a better choice than 9252 (or say 9253 or -54)?

The reason I asked is because I plan to use 9252s (9254 on Gyro), on a Raptor 50V2, and reading info on gyro it suggests a higher speed servo. One servo (9252) is on back order and if there was a better choice I was going to substitute for the 9252.

Because the Governor only moves the servo at around the speed of a 9202; .21 or .22 / 60 degrees if I remember correctly.

Not really a better choice, maybe just a less expensive choice. You'll see no benefit with the faster servo on a GV-1. If you want to take advantage of the servo's speed, the Throttle Jockey is a better choice.

OTOH, I do run a 9252 on my throttle as a spare in case one of my cyclic servos dies.

The GV response time is 0.02s (20mS).

Does the Control Response of 20ms mean that it responds to head speed changes within 20ms or does it mean that's how fast it moves the servos?

Maybe one of the Futaba guys can chime in on this one...

I've been told in the past that it only moves the servo at the speed of a 9202. This was from a Futaba Factory pilot.

My guess is that its the time it needs to send a signal to the servo (the time it take to react to headspeedchanges), than its up to the servo how fast it can move.

Im sure some guys believes that 20mS is the same as 0.2s (like 9001, 9202 and so on).

Well I've used a variety of servos and I can't really tell the difference however I currently have 9254 on the throttle and it works fine. One good thing is if you switch gov off the throttle is fast and could benefit by trying to keep the throttle ahead of the collective. Does it really matter? Well for me it don't as I'm not that good a pilot and I'm sure there are plenty of folks that will dispute any benefit. So to answer your question, it will work fine or you could use as low as a 148 or 3001. If you have a 9252 on the way I'd stick with it.
