Hi Armageddon,

I've built and flown both. Both have positives and negatives. Both are excellent helicopters, as is the Evo. None of them are 'lemons'. As Pete said, your mastercard will have to be the judge.

DOUGLAS, have you ever owned and extensively flown a Tiger? Just asking......
He's flown or been around the same one I have and the guy couldn't wait to get rid of it.

hmm...
If you look at the tiger its a lot like the Raptor Zergo g in geometry that I have. Looks like a mimic or spin off and would like to fly it. I have flown the evo and love it too.

Just seems to me that when you look at the designs there are only a few diffrences between all of them. I think not matter what you end up with using the same setup/motor/head upgrades/ pipe for all three would make them all fly ...well...all the same.

There is a good pilot in my town 'SD flyer' that setup a pred that flies almost as close to my MA1005 as you could get.

my only .02 look at crash cost and ease of builld. When I had my Robbe Futura I could rebuild a crash and be up flying while my vario benzin friend would take a month or two.

No matter what you do to a Raptor or any other heli,it will never fly like an EVO. The only way to get a heli that flys like an EVO is to buy an EVO. You can set it up however you like but it will still fly like a raptor.
Some people like the way a Raptor flys, thats fine it's their choice. To say they will both fly the same if they are both setup the same is not true. DOUG

Here we go again. Until I stop seeing pilots flying Raptors doing the most extreme of 3D, that statement will never stick. And dont give me the standard "they can make anything fly good" crap, they are just like us in that they choose what they fly. If the Raptor didnt meet thier expectations and needs, they would move on. Lets stop mingling our personal opinions with fact - as they usually differ

I did some playing with paddles and various things on the raptor a while back, paddles made a huge diference in how it handles, put V paddles on it and it no longer handles the same, put on different blades, and guess what? no longer the same.

Only flown an EVO a couple times, i liked how smooth it was around center stick, but previous experience says that is likely to be just a function of how the paddles fly.

Doesn't the raptor have a higher center of gravity (closer to the blades) than the EVO? I noticed the AVANT kit boasts about its CG improvement over the freya... hmmmm i had an EVO last year, but ended up just selling it. should have kept the paddles.
