sport 60 or pro 60? which mount?
I am looking to get into aerial photography, and need a camera mount. I am looking at either the Pro 60 or Sport 60 from helicam solutions? i was wondering from the experts here how important it is to be able to pan/tilt? i know the sport 60 doenst have those features but the Pro does i belive. is it worth the extra 150-200 dollars for it? any input here is appreciated, i have pmed helicam solutions but they dont seem to want to respond!!

it will be mounted ona raptor 60 with os70 motor

thanks for any input.

You can live without the pan but tilt is a must have. Go with the pro for sure.

Get what you feel is best for you but the Pro would be a great choice if you have a 2 person operation..

If your Solo then the Pan Tilt would not be as much fun.

You might tell a little about what your going after in the AP World ? Pro or Just Fun?

well i am a real estate developer and would like to take pictures of my different projects. I would also like to take pictures for local real estate companies ect as i have a good connection with them and there is no one else within probably 150 miles doing this.

I spoke with Jody at helicam solutions today, i decided on the sport 60 for a few reasons, im not sure if ill be running a 2 or 1 personoperation at the beginning and he also said that if i purchase a sport 60 and decide a few months later i want the Pro he will give me full credit refund for the sport 60 towards a pro 60 so basically i have nothing to loose.

I still need to purchase a camera, i have a canon DV camera but it wont work for stills so i need some recommendations here?

I do have a 600mw blackwidow downlink that i can use if i go 2 person operation.

any info is appreciated

Go with the pro, that way you'll have it and learn with it. I have both and the added feature of the roll axis is worth having. I use this function every job. The extra money spent now saves you down time later. Jody is the best, he has my business for life you wont find a better company.
Good luck and have fun

I use the Canon Pro1 with the GentLEDs WL-DC100 to control Shutter and Zoom but I don't think the Zoom is what you need right now!!
Here is a picture from the Canon Pro1

1/2 mile away !!!

And this one on a cloudy day..
