Stratus Head
The Stratus is only a different frame layout.

You can buy a Stratus with the Extreme head or with the Tempest head.

There isn't a new Stratus head...

so in this case this new flybar carrier, how do you feel it, it is better than the original extreme flybar carrier?

allows it to improve something?

compared with tempest head what is your point of view?

There were a few cases where flybars were snapping because the flybar rod itself was riding on the pivot point bearings. With the new flybar carrier it rides inside a metal piece which then inserts into a bearing for the whole assembly to pivot. Very good idea. The new carrier also allows you to change the head setup a little bit more Vs. the old carrier's one ball location only. You can adjust how quick the machine is off center.

Compared to the tempest head, I cant really tell ya. Never flown a tempest.

Head Comparison
I don't have a Tempest, but the Stratus doesn't balloon like my extreme did. It flies very straight and level hands off. I could never do that with my extreme.

I'm told the flybar carrier gets rid of the ballooning on the extreme too, but I haven't tried it.

I put mine on the average 3d setting, and it seems very stable. I might try it on the heavy 3d setting (or whatever they call it).

thanks Chris...
Now it is more clear for me.... I assume the head was new because a saw on the instruction manual section the following tittles (of course stratus documents on the MA site):
Stratus Kit assembly Manual - Ultimate 3D head Version
Stratus Conversion Manual

I didn't check before until your comments. and with your explanations was straight forward... I catch it....

thanks every one...
