I would go with the transmitter that works off of a voice recognition program. I'd use the batteries that are actually lighter than air and need no voltage regulator, this would add bouyancy to your heli & make it lighter. I'd also use the blades that are totally indestructable. All these items are due to be released before the Vibe. If God had meant for man to fly, he would have given him more money

Alan Szabo Snr. said that Alan uses 5000ma poly batery from Duralite with 5.1V regulator. If it is good enough for him...... I edited my shopping list on 2005/11/07

Motor and pipe not sure of yet.

1. The "14mz" is the King ala King of bling bling "radio" to fly your "machine" also use a "611" along with your "14mz" and tell people!
2. Get a header tank... all helis look cool with one or two!
3. Get lots different colors of neon fuel tubing... all helis look cool with them.
4. Make sure you get lots of aluminum upgrade parts (any color) because they make you fly like the "Pros" (If I am not mistaken blue anodized parts make you "Auto" better!)
5. The OS or YS are the religious engines of choice because they are trendy and dont "flame out". Make sure you get one with a "pump" (bragging rights).
6. Throw away the stock canopy and get a carbon one! and get the most wicked and exspensive paint job you can get like the type with a sharks mouth or with fruity colors (awsome bragging rights).
7. Carbon upgrades are the key to a succesfull heli flyer (and bragging rights) Carbon! Carbon! Carbon!
8. Forget NiCads. You NEED a Li-Po battery pack with the ability to put out 4 Amps of continuous power all day to run those receivers and digital servos. You'll also need an expensive liquid-cooled computerized charger to keep your battery from exploding when you charge it up for tomorrow's flying (and for bragging rights).
9. Make sure you use DIGITAL servos... regular servos do not work in helis! PERIOD! (and for bragging rights).
10. Put lots of OS, YS and Coolpower stickers on your heli.
11. Get a regulator (sounds cool when you tell someone you use a "regulator" on your heli).
12. Use 2 PCM receivers so you will have a back up in case one craps out (tell people you use 2 PCM receivers as it will make you out to be an important flyer).
13. Use flourescent colored velcro to strap things down (How do heli flyers even fly without flourescent colored velcro?).
14. Wear a JR, FUTABA or Coolpower shirt (so you can hang out with the "in" crowd at fun-flys or look important at your local RC field.)
15. Use a "Whip" antenna and let people know that (bragging rights)
16. Mention "F3C", "FAI" and "3D" alot and even make up your own combination of letters.
17. Make sure you have a "GV1", "RevLock" or "Rev Max" and yell that you do at Fun-Flys, Fly-Ins or at your local field when asked. If someone asks you what a "Rev Lock" or "Rev Max" does just be honest and tell them you do not know nore does anyone else but it sure does look and sound nice and you use them all on one heli (also for bragging rights).
18. Wear a "Temp Guage" and a "Tach" on your belt as you fly.
19. Make sure to have a hat with a wide brim that goes around your head or a "JR" or "FUTABA" cap on.
20. Let people know you are "Sponsored" or that you are a "Rep" and that you had this "Machine" or this "Radio" before anyone else and you get them free.
21. Amongst the many brands of "Birds" or "Machines" that are available:
A. MA "Extreme" -- This is one of the ultimate blinged out "Machines" you can buy out of the box. The build time is forever because there are an inumerable amount of parts and "upgrades" you have to buy to make it fly.
B. TT "Rappy" 90 -- Although not as popular or as popular or more popular than the above mentioned "machine" the "Rappy" is a formitable competitor due to its blue or silver anodized parts and the amount of stick banging it can take. The new fad now are "newbies" putting 90 sized motors in their 30 sized "Rappys" and hovering... er ummm hard core 3Ding.
C. JR Vigor 90 -- The champ flies this one and if you fly it you can fly just like the champ!
D. Robbe -- You have to move to Germany to get parts.
E. Vario -- You have to move to Austria to get parts.
F. Bergen -- Lots of anodized parts in those "machines".
G. 3DNT -- 3D... opps you just crashed and you have to move to Austria or Germany to get parts but then you will have to sell your house and car to afford the parts (which are harder to get than a Mustang GT)
22. Make sure those "Machines" have CCPM, ECPM, CCDM etc.. with a 90, 120 or 180 degree swashplate or even more!
23. Spread your legs at least 24" apart while you fly.

JB you forgot all about the importance of hats, sunglasses, & those ultra-cool gimbal stick extensions. If God had meant for man to fly, he would have given him more money

Jb,
Just to be fair, your point 21e is flat out wrong. The problems with getting parts for a Vario machine is a thing of the past. I know your post was in jest, but if your gonna post bs, at least make sure it is right.

You forgot the most important part!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need to have an entourage - at least one guy to start & carry your helicopter to the flight line, another guy to make the PA announcements ("and now hornet dave will show you the death defying low level knife edge pass! Look out for pieces of cut grass as he goes down the runway!"), and two or three women to cheer you on. You can't fly without an entourage, really, it's essential.I got a fever! The only prescription is MORE 6HV

I'm having an issue with points 22 & 23. In point 22 he describes this mechanical device as a swashplate. I went to "Rick's" web site & did a search for swash. I'm trying to determine if this device is one word or two. Swashplate or swash plate. On "rick's" site it shows up both ways, so I'll have to do more research before I can make a determination. In point 23 he states "Spread your legs at least 24" apart while you fly."
I think he means spread your feet 24", however if this is the case I would still disagree. I believe the angle formed by your legs is the important factor. Really, really short folks may be uncomfortable with their feet 24" apart, where as really, really tall people may become unstable with their feet that close together.
If God had meant for man to fly, he would have given him more money

jb_turner must be a Hirobo Hatter. . . he didn't talk about the Hirobo line of helis. Example:
Hirobo Eagle Series: Huge Bling Bling .. . Ultmost respected FAI Heli in the world.

Hirobo Freya Series:
Hirobo X-Spec - What can I say
Hirobo Evo - Yes, yet another mark in perfection . . (JG in the Houz)

and lets not forget the Evo 50 size heli with is an awsome 50 size heli that fly's like a 60 size heli.

From the items I listed I thought people would see that I am seriously looking at buying the best items available and I was asking for good advice from people with knowlage of the higher class equipment but then I got the previous posts. But all in all it was worth it - I got a PM from Alan Szabo Snr. with very good advice. So you can carry on with your jokes and I will ask, on new topic, regarding the one or two items I am not sure of yet.

It is frustrating when you would like to discuss something (wich is serious for me) and then this happen to the topic.
