Thats what I started playing with. Nice fiddles, but man they are heavy.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

so what guitarist was it~ that Jimi Hendrix told Johnny Carson is one of the worlds most promising guitarist ???

Billy Gibbons,,,

most people listen to Billy's commercial music, and that's fine, after all most people do only listen to the radio, you got to listen to Billy's music that's not played on the radio,,, although I'm a big fan of Billy I don't have a favorite guitarist, they all have their own style..

although there are many many many perfect rock tunes from the mid 60's to the early early 80's, but "Magic Carpet Ride" has-to be one of the top 10...

Jimi Hendrix also made reference to Phil Keaggy one time. He was asked, "How does it feel to be the greatest guitarist in the world?" to which he replied, "I don't know, why don't you ask Phil Keaggy." ...and there you have it.

My Baby

This is my 83 Jap Strat that has been really nice to me. I always think that someday I can also be 1/2 as good as Jimmy Page.

Im up in the Seattle area, probably about 2.5hrs from Longview, I only started some of Jimmy's stuff lately and am pretty new in general. I also have a Candy Apple Jap Strat that is very solid. I've dressed her up in a pearloid pick gaurd and added a DiMarzio humbucker at the bridge. I also have a 50th Annaversary Squire Strat that actually plays nice for a Squire. I pick on it the most because it's the one I have out all the time.

Cool! If you ever get down this way, look me up! I always enjoy a little jam session.. My daughter brings her friends over (13~16 years old) and I blow thier mind some.haha But not really that fun for me because they have no idea what song I am playing if its not some new Seattle grunge band!

I know what you mean about not appreciating good music. I am not sure which way the rock is going today. My kids are 7 and 4 and I'm not sure yet how to introduce good music without loosing them to the present day stuff.
