I am wondering how to fly smoothly in turning around like this

http://www.robshobbies.com/raptech/rt_training09.wmv

1. little forward aileron
2. apply & hold rudder
3. little cyclic
4. release cyclic
5. release rudder.

Is that right?

You should use the terms aileron and elevator, cyclic refers to both.

These are flat and slow speed turns, so they are dominated by the tail, as the speed increases (fast forward flight without training legs) it's more about the aileron and elevator

1. little aileron (left or right, not forward)
Get the heli tilted slightly, then put the aileron stick back in the center
2. apply & hold rudder
3. very little back elevator - hold and increase/decrease as required
4. release rudder
5. release cyclic

As you fly faster, you use more aileron and elevator, until you get to the point where you do a fast knife edge U turn and simply bank it right over and pull the elevator (almost no rudder)

When you turn at faster speeds you will need to decrease the collective a tad to prevent the model from climbing

Just work on it in the SIM, you'll get the hang of it
