My canopy has been cracked up from flying in the winter and Im looking for a replacement. How can the canopy cost $40? The Spirit one cost nearly $50. I mean come on, thats just too expensive. There just arent any other reasonbly priced canopies for the eolo other than the darth one. Anyone know how much the new Li version canopy cost? I bet its like $60. Its not even fiberglass.

Rchover have it(spirit) for 38$ and something... which include a canopy holder. That's not cheap, that's the downside of having an eolo...

Maybe a 2L soda bottle...

haha, then I could have the ugliest eolo around. I guess Im pretty much stuck with the Darth one from fxaeromodels. What pisses me off is that the canopies all cracked up and Ive never even crashed it.

Do you have a lot of vibes?
Mine cracked because of the deans who are too hard to pull apart and a winter crash shredded it into small pieces. The new one I have seem to be less brittle, maybe the old canopy dryed under the sun, or the paint I used had a bad effect on it.

I ran a T-maxx at -25C and the lexan body never suffered from many turn over...

...mmm, maybe ask pro-line(specialized in RC truck body) if they could go into heli body...

HugeOne, That is a fantastic idea!! I dont know how receptive Proline would be but if we all start sending emails it might happen.

I also remember a guy that had cut down an Eco 8 canopy and it looked great not sure the price of them but it is an option.

... and I got an answer

Lorents,
At this time the Helicopter market is not something we have
looked into however, with your suggestion perhaps we should. I will
forward your suggestion to our design team for review.

Thank you for the mail and have a good day.

If they do make a fury or 3DMP look-a-like canopy I'd buy one.

There have been several request recently for Helicopter Canopy's. I

Thank you for the mail and have a good day.

Who'se got the vacuum molding setup? I'll carve a styro plug model

I like the 3DMP canopy too.

We need more visibility of the eolo and the long 3DMP canopy would do the trick.

keepin' it real

Stet, why don't you try to experiment with gfk on a own carved mold? I'm planning to make carbon 3DMP like skids this winter.
