Well, my engine is finally running reliable. Now I have to put the training gear back on. The carbon rods and golf ball thing. I just used zip ties before . Any good pics from the shop to post?
Mine seem to come off easy

Thanks
Cassat

Hey Cassat, where in AB are you at? You may want to check with local folks to some help if you haven't already. Lots of folks in the major areas (Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary).

With my "RotoPod", it came with everything so I didn't have to worry about it. I've seen other folks use zip ties cause they don't tend to come loose (as tape may do). Just need to have some extras around for later. Good luck.

Got Money? Send it to me, I'm a Heli Addict.

I use to use rubber bands. worked great. I put the rods, (wood dowels in my case) over the top of the gear. They are cheap & easy to remove. By placing the dowels on top of the main gear, the rubber bands also add a little shock absorber effect.

sorry no digi camera.

Just do a search for "training gear pictures" and you will find enough to keep you busy for quite a while.

rubber bands are the best way to go. with a hard landing zip ties can be "unzipped". if that happens, you can end up with hanging landing gear. almost happened to me.

.

Are you on the list?
