Gentlemen, I would like to convert a glow Shuttle to Electric and need spedific information. Motor,Pinion,Esc,Battery. I do not have a stockpile of electric stuff so I would like to nail it first shot eliminating alot of trial, error and expense.

I look forward to your input and thank you all very much.

Hacker C50 19XL
Thunderpower 6s3p 6000 Mah
Hacker Master 77-o heli ESC

You can't go wrong with this setup. If you run a conservative headspeed of about 1700 you will be able to fly for about 12 minutes. My heli weights about 8 pounds with the 7s3p and bigger blades/boom, but a stock shuttle with 6s3p should weight between 6.5 and 7 pounds, it will be heavier than the IC setup, but not by much
sounds like a pretty good recipie for sucess to me
try PMing bkammerer or some of the others in the above post for more details.

The easiest conversion uses the motor mount from HHI. Bolts straight in and uses the clutch. I did mine that way. I am very happy with the outcome. I use a twister 40 motor (outrunner 1000kv) with 14 gp2200 cells. More than enough power for the scale use and i get exactly 5 mins of run time. I think 4s lipos would be great in my app but i dont fly it enough to mount lipos in the fuse.

(mine sits in a funkey longranger)

good luck and keep us informed

we can never have too many, can we ?

Sounds good I am going to go with a LiPo setup for increased flight time and weight savings.

Helis are to men what shoes and handbags are to women.

Looks like if I do it and the only reason I would not is cost. This stuff is not cheap by any stretch.

Tango 45-08 motor
Castle Creation 80
2 Tanic 4400mah 11.1v batteries LiPo
HHi mount listed above
