fwiw..

Use the longer links...I played with this a lot on the bench, and the longer links give more equal throw without binding...Tail can be st at neutral with servo centered, or with a couple degrees right...I prefer the latter...

I agree with drdot ...

I found that the short links caused a bind when the slider moved to the extreme outside. I'm using the longer shaft now (with aluminum pulley) with the long links, and now it doesn't bind at either end. When it lands and spools down, the slider is about in the center of it's travel, and the amount of available travel now exceeds the amount possible with the lever.

The longer tail shafts made by Microheli only work well with the Microheli tail boxes (the pulley on the shaft is a little wider than the stock Align pulley). I use these shafts with the long ball links and they provide more than enough tail pitch range without binding.

i just tried trimming the gyro and tail. the longer ball links seem to make it very hard to trim it correctly. the tail control arm needs to be pushed to far to one side due to the longer ball links.i put the smaller links on and they work good. the heli kept truning to the left and i would have to add more right rudder to stop it. i think ill stay with the shorter links....
