It's all about money
Mark makes his living from Run Ryder so I guess as long as they pay their monthly advertising fee, they'll stay.

I was unaware of the BBB complaints and their ratings. If that doesn't get Marks attention, nothing will and they will ramain on Run Ryder.

It's a tough position to be in...But you will notice that Mark has allowed this thread that exposes the Real story to "Live" ....giving us all a chance to be well aware of the past experiences of others with Helihoby ...It is impossible to be both a site promoter/salesman and to screen the integrety of the advertisers...I doubt many businesses that rely upon advertising will drop a client for such reasons and in all fairness why should Mark be "Big brother" ? I like to know all of my choices and as much about who I am dealing with as possible...this thread (if it lives) will be Marks way of helping us out .

Nope, I think you have it wrong. In advertising their products he is sponsering those people. He in effect is saying (by having their ads) that I would do business with these people. I quit looking at any of the ads on here after getting stung by them, and will not click on the links. If this gets deleted or gets left up that's up to him, but in Nascar if a driver does something that shows bad for a sponser they get dropped, and vice versa. That goes for all the other sponsered ads that I know of. He has a great enough board that he can find great advertisers without resorting to get sponsership from someone that doesn't do a good job.

Two very poor experiences with HH for me. They did not involve a lot of money so I just decided to "write it off" and not do buesness with the any longer. I spent a lot of time trying to call them during my work time hours and just gave up. There were many unanswered emails as well.

Mark Ryder,

I do not have phone here that you can call me on. However, if you'll give me a time that's convenient for you I'll be happy to call on my dime. Please be specific as to time zone and time as I work nights and should be able to catch you. As for the IP address, we have our service through Bentley Walker out of the UK, and not exactly sure how it works but I'll tell you that we can order and recieve all the componants to set up our own internet service over here.

Where did you ever come up with that theory ?? It's almost too funny to comment upon...but here goes...

I used to mange Auto Trader magazine many years ago...we did not drop car dealers just because we did not like how they did business...

Pick up any newspaper and ask yourself ...does the publisher endorse every advertiser ??

Watch a TV comercial...do you think the network endorses the products ??

What will it take for people here to get it through their heads that RR is a business...a specialized business that we freely participate ...we get free advice and membership...but not the right to dictate who buys ad space....If Mark wants to fill all the ad spaces with plank suppliers...he can !! It does not mean we need to buy planes and sell all of our helis nor does it mean that RR endorses the products (I never saw that written any place)it simply means that RR chose to sell that customer space on this forum for whatever reason .

One does not need to think too hard to understand that advertising clients are none of our business...never have and never will be...furthermore...never should be !!

Yes the networks are responsable for everything that goes on, on their networks. Why do you think there were so many fines for the "costume malfunction". Why do most of those models lose their contracts if it comes out they are drug users?
If you know that somebody is not dealing fairly you have a responsablility to not advertise for them. It's called ethics.
The internet is the new media, if you don't want it regulated like the networks are it has to be self policed.
That's my opinion.

The example you use is between the advertiser and their employees ...not networks. I was in the "Media" for 12 years...I do know what I am talking about on this subject...you are not correct...PM me for further info if you wish.

Perhaps the rules are different in Canada. If you know a company is doing something wrong in the US and you still advertise for them you are liable.

I will agree in part...however doing "something wrong" is where it gets sticky...do you think Mark or anyone else would stick their neck on the line for liable charges by presuming any company to be in the wrong ??? If a client were to be found guilty in a court of law then ...and only then does your reasoning apply...that is indeed the case in both countries. It is not up to RR to presume guilt upon you or anyone without absolute proof...it would be extremely unwise especially in the USA where a Lawyer is the second word that comes out of a persons mouth. I don't disagree with your moral feelings but it is not the law...check it out.

I may be one of the lucky ones...
Not sure what HeliHobbys problem is but I cannot complain the slightest bit as I have ordered from them around 10 times or so and so far every time I have recieved my order very promptly. I realize other people have had problems but I cannot speak badly of them because so far they have done well for me. Good luck with your items though!! And thank you very much for fighting for our country, words cannot express.

I too have NO problems with HeliHobby and I reside in Australia. I ordered a Radio South Pro Driver III and remote glow plug adaptor from them. I was a bit sceptical to begin with, especially after reading all the bad press on here but went ahead anyway. I received the goods within 5 days of ordering, couldnt believe how quickly everything turned up and in perfect condition. I can only praise them on the single instance I have used them to date and plan to use them in the future.

good2win22 Please pm me or email me your details at nikki@helihobby.com , we usually ship out same day or next day, so it may be a postal service issue but I will look into it for you.

We do constantly get packages back from APO's and FPO's as undeliverable, when this happens we contact you by whatever means you have given us, within 24 hours of the package coming back. We ship through USPS normally but if you request UPS of FEDEX we can ship those methods as well.

If anyone else reading this has an issue please email me directly, I have resolved every issue I have come across on RR, and will continue to do so. If you do a search on helihobby you will see that yes we have had our fair share of issues like any company, but you will see a post from me;femaleflier, amending the situation.

We are thankful for a place like Run Ryder where we can really get feedback from our customers. I have had a few customers tell me about negative posts they have read yet they still order from Helihobby because they see we are quick to solve any problem.

If there is a problem, it will get taken care of fastest by emailing me immediately. I do not see every little thing that happens, so please bring it to my attention so I can prevent it from happening again. We are always bettering ourselves but there is always room for improvement.

Lastly I would like to thank those supporting Helihobby, as most tend to focus on the few problems and overlook the good service, thank you for going out of your way, it is much appreciated.

Heh, that's a good one...I didn't know it's the customer's responsibility to go out of our way.

I thought it was too easy to shop at Rick's and Heliproz. Maybe if I went out of my way, I could enjoy some of these problems you poor folks are having, too!
