Could one of you guys with Reflex check to see if I am on the correct route to learning piro-flips? They don't look great but I want to make sure I should continue to practice from where I stand. The recording was done with the Pred Gasser.

If I only could get the heli to stay in one place...

Donwload here

Thanks in advance.

look's like youre on the right track

it helped me when i was learning to always flip away from myself, like start tail in, and start your stirring with forward cyclic

that way youre always practicing corrections from the same orientation
eventually you wont be thinking about corrections and your hand will just know what to do

your collective timing looks pretty good, that plays a huge part in keeping them still too

lavarocks: thanks for the reply.

I was wondering how I should translate my new skill from the sim to the actual heli. Is the first live piro-flip a problem, or just go high and try it out?

its no problem

i was worried about my raptor 50 exploding the first time, but it turns out they dont explode, hah

as long as youve got linear pitch and good throttle curves and no binding, anywhere, it shouldnt be a problem.. unless your helicopter has a really soft head, then you might cut your tail boom off

get nice and high though
