Okay, quick question on flight modes, when we refer to flight modes are we referring to different pitch / throttle curv settings at a flip of a switch on the TX?

You would be correct in assuming that, yes

So basically I can program different pitch and throttle curves to suit the different needs I want out of the heli, example transitioning out of a normal flight mode to a hover mode then back into a 3D mode at a flip of a switch?

Yes your right but there would be no need to set up different flight modes until you start progressing, unless you already heve.

Yes I do agree about the part of not doing something stupid for now

But to program various flight modes and switch from one mode to another, now thats just plain cool

Am not going to do another crash 2

Flight Modes and Idle Ups same thing.
How's that new Caliber flying Shesha?
I spent most of yesterday tinkering with my Raptor 90SE. I set up all the flight modes and throttle hold functions.
With the flip of the flight mode switch, I control both Throttle and Pitch Curves, plus the Governor Speeds, plus dual rate and expotential functions. You can set it up to control Trim (offset) for each of the flight modes also. I believe you can also add programable mix to the equation. My Caliber has a nasty tendency to roll left when I pull back to do flips, but as of now I just self-correct it. I could add a slight programable mix to offset that tendency.
I use a Futaba 9C TX.

Hope this helps....Goodluck!
