Sorry, no yes or no... depends on what you want. A heli to practice with and not worry if you trash it? Then it's fine. If you expect a heli that'll perform like some of the pricier ones, then consider it junk.

More specifically: The electronics are junk. The build-it-yourself kit where you add your own electronics is fine.

Also be careful... there's two versions of the #35. The old one has plastic gears at the tail drive, the new one has metal gears.

I think the reason you havent gotten any responses is that no one here was dumb enough to buy a Walkera in the first place.....

I was dumb enough!!!.....just a warning, watch out when the battery gets low....they will decide to have a mind of there own...I actually just got done flying my walkera 36 which is belt drive...if you do go with your own electronics, and a brushless motor and speed control, it would be ok...I have the one with the speed control built into the receiver..and a piece of crap "brushed" motor....I finally got it to fly pretty good....I did break down and buy the T-Rex HDE what a difference in quality...but, you pay for quality!.....any way thought I would put in my 2 cents

walkera!!!!
Hi there,
Just got say that there are at least two of us dumb enough in this wide world to buy this thing. I consider that I might as well have found the nearest drain and poured £130.00 down it. The dragonfly sits on a shelf in my workshop serving no other purpose than to remind me that after 40 years model flying and building it is possible to be a complete fool. Hope this goes some way to help you make your choice. Incidentaly I have a Zoom with some upgrades and now fly every day with no probs. My friend has the latest T rex and I really rate that also,
Cyril

I love my #35... i dunno... but i guess i got lucky with my 2.
I bought one used here on RR and one new... both fly like a champ with alittle tuning...

I think thats the main thing with this bird... it will not fly worth a damn unless you invest alittle time and money in it... which is pretty much the same with any bird...

I had more trouble with my t-rex than anything... cost me 700 to build and make it flyable... whereas my little #35 cost me batts, and learning a few tricks... fly's like a champ.

My suggestion.. invest in brushless... those little stock motors just don't have the efficiency to be worth the time...

I have a #35 and i think its a good bird to learn to fly with, I have learnt a lot about setting it up and only crahed it once, rather do this sort of stuff with a cheap bird than one that cost hundreds of bucks to fix each time i crash it, been told the big birds are easier to fly compared to the little ones. Personal opion mind you.

My #35 has morphed into a completely different machine.
