I had already looked at that and asked myself whether it was real or fake.
Looking closely there is a shock wave running out on the ground when it hits and this would be the thing most likely missed in a hoax and the thing that is most difficult to fake.
If anyone does know I too would like to hear of it. If it is real then "Holy S*%T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

You're right about that. However, a blast like that would be immense and annhanailate (spelling ?) everything within a 100 metre radius wouldn't it ?. That 4x4 looks as if it is directly in the impact zone.
I just dunno

No idea what blast it would cause and it was difficult to see the size of the meteor?
To me it looked like it passed the 4x4 and landed about 15 yrds in front of it.
Let's hope somebody knows the truth and will let us know. If it is true that is something else.

It is a commercial for the 4x4, I forget the make, but I saw it on TV a couple of days ago.

Cheers. That just about wraps that up.

It would be good to see in high quality video.

There was a hilarios fineprint at the bottom of the screen. It said something to the effect of "Does not demonstrate the trucks abilities to survive meteor strikes."

I can't see that fineprint you spoke of on the wmv file. Is it on the TV version ?

It is total CG, the best indication is the size of the smoke coming off the ball as it approaches the truck. Also, the speed of the incoming object is too slow.

keepin' it real

the shockwave alone from the impact would have destroyed every single thing there for miles and besides, you think that guy on the left would just stand there watching if he saw that thing comming towards him? lmao...

yeah i guess you're right, the best place to be is centered on the inpact zone... that way you don't know what happened or feel a thing
