Hi.
Is there a problem with my 810g servo?
It is used for the throttle on my Rappie50 to compliment the TJ pro and was installed when I got the heli (2nd hand) 6 months ago. However, I have just tried to calibrate the TJ and the servo arm really seems to vibrate after a few moves. if I move the stick it stops. Also after a few movements the arm will shoot a further 90degrees or so past the original stop position!
If this is a problem, what is the protocol for sending to JR for repair? (in the UK). Aslo, I have a spare 8700 servo (has a slight 1mm or so play in the gears) would this be better?

Thank you all in advance for your replies. They are appreciated.

I also have this same combo in my Ergo and have never had a problem with it. I also have an 8700 with a 5000T, in my TSK.

If you want to be sure, isolate the problem by first trying the 8700 servo (won't cost you anything, given you already have the servo). If this solves the problem, you know it's the 810g and you can send it in for repair. If not, then you know it's the TJ Pro.

Good luck,

John

What radio are you using?
I had a similar problem
With my futaba 9C I ether had to take off the throttle rods and make the servo 100% on both ends then initialize or you can set you channel 7 ATV's to 95 on both sides and leave your throttle alone.

i guys - thanks for the replies and forgive my latreness in replying. (Been out the country).
My Tx is a JR X3810 ADT and use the Idle up switch for setting the different hd speeds.
I have just tried the 8700 and this does exactly the same so, in one sense I'm relieved it's not the servo, but in another what am I doing wrong?! (Or is it just because it's trying to 'sense' something that's not there (i.e. a rotating magnet!) his is the first time I've used a TJ (used Revlock on last heli). It may just be normal!
Thanks again for the previous and any further replies.

I had the exact same problem
and the problem solved.

Many months ago, I got a new TJ pro and 8700G.
Had problem that servo doesn't stop and swings all the way
i could possibly go. At Atv around 85, this wouldn't happen.
But when I increase the ATV, the problem always came back.
Thinking I got a bad servo, I had sent 8700G in for service and they
said no problem whatsoever with the servo.

And then I emailed Model Avionics and they sent me a new
box and it worked perfectly. Thank you for your support Model Avoinics

So I suggest you contact Model Avionics.
