I'm working on a scale project and would like to reduce my rear tail rotor diameter my 10mm, was wondering if anyone had any idea how this might effect the tail control? Since I'll be flying scale circuits and not 3D I’m not too concerned with extreme tail control. I’m thinking of going from the stock plastic 55mm rotor blades to a set of carbon fiber 42mm.

Thanks Guys

Although not on one of me scale heli's, I've changed out plastic stock blades for slightly smaller CF blades on a couple of me other heli's. There has been no noticeable effect on control in these heli's. I think it may have something to do with the CF blades having a better profile and thus being more efficient than the stock plastic blades.

If the reduced diameter did cause a problem , how about some flat bottomed tail blades ?

At the end of the day , it gets dark .
