You can check out my setup in my profile. I've had good luck with mine but I think some of the newer super powerful motors might be too much for a CC25.

What kind of run times you get with your setup Kevin?
I have all the same guts from my V1 Shogun and am putting that heli to rest and would like to use the guts in a TREX

The new cc25's have the bigger/better/bad asser BEC on them, 3A I believe, so it should be fine as long as your motor is not a hog.

I set my timer for 8 minutes so usually fly just under 9 minutes. Put about 1750mah back into the packs after a flight, not 3D but lots of flips, rolls, and very sloppy tic-toc attempts
That's with a 13T and 335mm blades, have flown well over 10 minutes with an 11T and 315mm woodies.

My setup is Align 420 Brushless, 13T pinion CC 25 (an old one!), 3 HS 55's, I TowerPro 5.5 Gram, Walkera Gyro and GWS 6 channel Reciever.

This setup generally seems fine and I get 10 minutes of hovering around with a 1600 mAh lipo pack. In 25 or so flights I have twice experienced motor shutdowns however each time power has been restored before the helicopter hit the ground (was hovering at 15' or so)!
