Well, turned her into the wind, and was bringing her back around when she dead sticked!! forced auto at about 20ft...thank goodness the farmers field was rained on recently and soft! damage so far was a bent spindle shaft, and a nicked blade.."carbons" but nothing MAJOR...

so replaced spindle shaft and re tracked blades...still acting funny. then I was checking the whole assembly again looking for loose play or something obvious....but could only find "one" stripped out screw in the washout base. the washout assembly on one side had a little bit of play...but I wouldnt think that "it" would cause my blades to go out of track again....would it???

any suggestions?

my engine has been running rough at idle 1 but when I throw the switch to idle up, she runs fine....WAIT! when I loose head speed she wants to die....

just started doing all this today after 3rd flight...

dr? dr?

sounds like it may be running lean, check your fuel tank and clunk, something may have came loose in the tank from the hard landing causing it to lean out. Go over your fuel lines and tank really well.

I think you need to revisit your engine tuning. Take care of the running rough and the wanting to die when you lose head speed. And for good measure, check all your fuel lines as suggested, and see that your muffler is still tight.
