Auto's! (tail boom dent)
drill a 1/8" hole in the middle of the dent.
take your blades off.
start her up...1/2 stick.
put a sharp xacto knife in the hole about 10mm in
sharp end forward.
see if it cuts the belt
lol

Just be cearful that it's only a tail strike. We had an indicendt in which we tought it was only a stike but it turned out that the boom was slightly bent downward. This slight bending caused the belt pulleys in the frame to strip whenever the idle switch was turned on.

Changed the boom.... problem fixed.

If it's just a strike keep flying... no harm there.

I have a Raptor 30 that I use as a demo machine, so those interested in helis, can try their hand. I had three different guys try this machine this past summer, after spending time on the sim. We put more than four gallons through with a smashed boom, that was bent down, that I had straightened bending it back over my knee. The belt has survived through three previous tailbooms. Ksue, if your argument were sound, the belt would shred it's teeth, as it passes over itself in the "X" , where the belt twists to change direction. The spot where we dent our booms, has a mile of clearance to the belt. Your conclusions are based on what experience?

I wouldn't worry about getting rid of the pumb (that's bump spelled backwards),
Don ,
Your backwards spelling could use some work .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .
