I am looking to get into a Logo 10, and I am wondering if some of my current equipment might work

1. Hacker B408L BL motor
2. Castle Creations CC80 80Amp ESC.
3. HS-81 Servos
4. 3s3p 6600mah 11 volts 9C Lipos (60AMP max draw)

Can I use these or will I need to upgrade?

Thanks

Hoverdown3k,

You should read this...I used it before I bought my first heli:

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=342742

But to answer some of your questions:

The motor will not work, too small, it's a voyager e size motor. Although I'm not an experienced pilot, I myself just bought a hacker c50 13L. If you can afford one it's a good motor. I haven't read 1 bit of info about problems....There's other choice's but this is the one I got.

The controller will work....provided it works. I'm not speaking from experience but I've read alot about issues with castle controllers. I was going to get one myself but everything I read strayed me away from them..I'm looking at 1.schulze, 2.kontronic, 3.hacker

The servos probably won't work, they are alittle weak. The HS81 is more of a tail servos....I sold my first born to get my JR DS3421 servo's. They cost alot (224.00 Heliproz) but are highly recommended. Here's some recommended servos:

http://www.logoheli.com/servos.htm

Just reading this looks like had a voyager e like I did. I sold mine to get the Logo 10 I like better.

Not sure about the batteries. If I were to guess I would say no. Most or all of the setups I ran across run 14.8 volts...

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply, yes the stuff is currently in a Voyager E, and it runs well but I am looking for something bigger. I was also looking at the Century Swift.

I think I might sell the VE and look at getting into a larger E Heli.

Your packs will work but no hard flying. You need at least a 4s to really power the c50-13. I tried a 3s on mine and it really lacks any power even with the lighter packs. I bought jr 361 servos for mine they were a little cheaper and still good for light aerobatics and sport flying, although the 3421 are the cream of the crop when it comes to servos for the logo10.

You'll love the Logo10 with the right motor, battery and servos
