i noticed the other day that i had some up and down movement in the large pulley wheel, about half a mill.i tried to undo the grub screw on the coller below it to adjust it,but no matter what i do i can't get the screw undone!i think the previous owner must have used red loctite on it.i even tried a micro blow torch on it to heat it up,and that didn't help either.so my question is "does it really matter"it seems to fly fine, and has been doing so ever since i had it.i'm inclined to leave as it is because it will be major surgery to try to remove this part.what do you folks think?

thank's to those that replied by pm.after much deliberation i have decided to just fly it,i've seen other members se's,and they also have a small amount of play here.it's going to be disasterous to try and remove that grub screw.

to remove the screw, get the next larger size english wrench and grind the tip to a taper. If you have to you can always cut the collar off.

I agree that it's motion probably does not matter. If you loctite the shaft to the pulley you will likely never get it off. I had one stuck on (without loctite) and I ended up bending the pulley trying to remove the shaft.

keepin' it real
