Hi,

I am going to get the Gasser from Rick's very soon and need some help with what to get. I would like get the right stuff the first time if you know what I mean if you could help me here with my wish list also what upgrades should I have right off the bat.

This is my list that I already have for it.

Hey,

Just grab yourself the aliminium "A" arm upgrade and enjoy the machine as it comes out the box.

The stock woodies fly well for what they are, but you cannot beat the Rotor Techs so if they appeal to you grab a set.

Then build it and have fun.

Thanks guys.

I have the 649 PCM which I will use.


My other questions though.

1) Is it true I will not see any smoke?
2) How do I properly break the engine in without seeing any smoke from the pipe.
3) How is the power compared to my X-Spec YS .91?


The idea of Gas sold me on this besides most good reviews I have read from all your posts here on RR.

Hey,

I think you will be plesently surprised with the power of the Gasser, I know I was even compared to a 90.
They are not quite as good at performing fast tic-toc style of manouvers due to a small increase in weight over the 90's, but their power and torque is excellent.

A lot of the flying really comes from the setup, knowing how best to extract the most power from the engine so as not to bog it down.

The one I flew, a 23cc & 26cc variant both went well. The 26cc obviously had more power and was carbon to, shaving a little weight off the machine's overall weight which helps.

A lot of guys have switched to the Gassers for thier ease of use, cheaper running costs and for having no real loss in performance over their previous 90's.

Actually I can't do extreme fast 3D stuff so then this would be a great machine especially since the operating costs per flight would be very cheap.


How does she hold in the wind...I imagine must do very well because of the torque?
