Using this ESC, are you running in Governor mode? Have you tried non-governed?

Thanks...

I use it, and have never used the governer, I am used to setting up curves, so it wasn't an issue for me....

But Honey, I can't live with just stock.....

governor works fine for me on this esc.

with the align 420lf motor I found running the throttle curve at 90% or above eliminates pulsing from the motor that can cause tail wag.

at 85% i got slight pulsing

at 65% it was pretty bad

Bruschless motors need to be run at + 85% for maximum efficiency from all the advice I have received.

below this they can run alot hotter. And in my case (not sure if this is a general rule) the governor struggles to maintain a constant rpm

will

Myself and several others here in this area are using that speed control. Most of us are running throttle curves as opposed to using governor mode. I had occasional tail wag when using governor mode which changing to throttle curves eliminated. ESC has been reliable now having over 75 flights in my CDE and runs very cool even supplying my Lehner 1020 17 motor which is a real powerhouse and a bit of an amp hog.

Hi,

I notice that the governor mode on a CC25 works luch better than the governor mode on an Align 35.
With the Align 35 I notice also the pulsing on the motor and as a consequence the tail wag. To eliminate I switched back to the classic throttle/pitch curves which gave me excellent results.

In general I think that governor mode decreases your flight time slightly....who agrees with that??

None governor for me. Works fine for what I'm doing, still stuck with nose in (no 3D yet). Sometimes do wish that climb rate would be better when it suddenly looses height with a gust of wind. But probably my setup rather than ESC.

Tail is solid for what I'm doing. Everything runs cool after 10 mins in air.

Damn nose in hover

the method I used in the beginning to learn nose in:

move the stick(s) controlling the swash plate to the direction the heli intends to go

for the rudder: look at the tail instead of the nose

Nevertheless, after a while you will notice that you will react as you are sitting in the heli...

Do not forget to take a safe altitude and have a backout plan...

My Align 35A doesn't have a governor mode. A few weeks ago someone noted that there are 2-3 variations of it on the market atm.

From an electronics perspective, I'll classify mine as splatter. It splatters everything in its proximity with electromagnetic interference.
