I bought a pretty good size lot of 11.1v 3s 860mah batts on ebay really really cheap.

I want to put them in my shogun, but as you can imagine... 10c @ 860mah is not enough to run all the servo's (hs-56hb).
Is it possible to run these cells in parrellel?

+ to +, - to - ?

I don't want to short these little guys out and fry them... cos it will most likely mean my heli goes up in smoke too...

The reason i want to run parrellel instead of just buying a beefier lipo... is cost. I got these really cheap, and would like to use them.

Here's my idea...

I will not be permanently soldering these togehter. I will make a y cable with micro deans... so when i need to charge i can just unplug em, and charge each pack as they need it.

what do you think?

hi
running cells in parallel is common , but you have to be carefull they are all fully charged when you plug them together , you can get into trouble if you plug a low battery into a charged battery as they will cross charge through the "Y" connector , with no resistance to limit the cross charge the packs will charge ~ discharge too fast , depending on how different the voltage is , as long as you are carefull to have both packs fully charged when they are connected you should be fine , you will probably want to make up two seperate 3 cell packs that you then connect together , you will see batteries referred to as 3c2p pack ~ for 3 cell 2 parallel , hope this is some help and be sure to check the voltage of the cells before you solder them together into 3 cell packs
some cells come with aluminum tabs and you may have to get special solder to solder them
