Ok guys.... just went for a quick flight over my noon hour...(yes, i know i am an addict)...... and flew around with no problems and when i landed and shut the motor down.... i head a little ticking in the one way, its once in awhile......... This just started as last night i put in ATF....... Now what.......I think i am going to try the grease now......

Hi Patriot21,

It may be worth taking the tail box apart to make sure that the pin that holds the red tail gear on is not working its way out. This gave mine a ticking noise that sounded like it was coming form the one way.

I thought it was the one way bearing one time. To find out, it was the pinion bearing...

check that out.. The pinion gear shaft might be worn out..

I had the same noise that got progressively worse. Eventually I noticed quite a lot of sideways play in my clutch bell and discovered the pinion gear had worn through and broken. Of course I didn't find it had broken until I dropped the motor and removed the starter shaft, then the clutch and half the pinion fell out.

Didn't seem to affect the flying much though.
