I would vote X3D without hesitation. Seen the others, they are good but not at the X3Ds level. No one flame me, just a personal opinion, and I am flawed.

Hi

I have the hornet 2 and its a great little heli i also have the zoom and the 3d pro last week i bought the T-REX 450XL(CDE)CCPM Kit and this heli is a dream to build and fly out performs the zoom more robust than the 3d pro and the hornet 2 and is very stable in the hover and i said i would never buy a Trex
Don't get me wrong i like my other heli's especially the hornet 2 power to weight ratio its balistic has a tendancy to eat tail drive gears when you least expect it and the head need to be stiffer or you will eat booms for breakfast i bought the duzi head
The zoom i have a belt drive on mine it flys a like a dream on the standed setup and can withstand quite windy days
The 3d pro is a nice litle heli in between a zoom and a hornet 2 weight wise and flys very nice but it has its faults like a weak tail gearbox that explodes in flight and the tail drive gear from the main gear has problems not that i have this problem but some do
The Trex is the larger of the micro's and i cannot find any faults with it i have flown it approx 30 flights now

I really don’t care for either of those. I really like the new T-Rex 450 XL much better. It is a proven design and the new XL version has an extended boom for larger blades that’s makes it fly more like a large helicopter, especially in the wind.

Hi
I have Eco8,3D Pro, Shogun, and I finished building The TRex 450XL CDE a few weeks ago and all of the other heli that I have and have been flying have needed upgrades to make them fly or fly right. I built this kit without any upgrades at all, not a single one and this heli flies great. This is truly a great flying heli out of the box. The bling from what I have read will give you the durability if you tend to punish your helis.

One more thing check out replacement parts pricing on the Trex and you will find that you can't beat them over any other micro. The prices on some parts may seem comparable but in alot of cases they will give you more then one in a package like main shafts and feather shafts and so on.

I Have to ask with the winter coming up. out of all the helis witch would be best for the inside ?? i own the the trex the pro and a fp aerohawk and the pro has been the best for the long winter ahead, inside flying--very stable lower cost parts the the hornet( i have work on a hornet for about a month they are by far the most sensitive but great performance) the trex is by far the best mini but the pro for 109.00 is the best non tail motor drive micro. just get the vertical fin off the tail gear box. the box cant take the force of a fin hit
just my 2 cents.

what are you guys calling 'inside'?

sure the micros are a good 50% smaller than a .30 sized heli. but, i dont think you're gonna be flying funnels in your living room.

if you've got a gym or warehouse to fly in i think you can also include the minis...well, the T-rex as that seems to be THE mini to have.

for just flying circuits around your house i like the looks of a souped up FP. i have a stock V1 right now. ok, as is. but, put a brushless main and tail on it with lipos and you've got a great indoor heli with good authority.

if it ain't broke, break it.

Hi All,

Living in New Hampshire, I keep an Elite FP for my "Winter Bird". This is my indoor flyer. I have a large basement that I do circuits in, in the winter. I find the FP to be an easy to control, fun flyer indoors. The headspeed and size of my Zoom, Trex, and 3DPro make indoor fun, um, nerveracking at best.

My FP has a 2015 Himax and like90 woodies and runs great!!

Cheers,
Leslie
