Nope
You either have to use a remote starting system or use 24 volts. I use a remote starter. I have 2 2000mah packs on my starter, and as long as the packs are charged it will turn my C-Spec over fine.

My hobbico 90 would start a ys or os 120 ( airplane engine). I think a torquemaster 180 shouldn't have a problem on 12 volts starting a 90 sized engine.

Sullivan Dynatron will start any 90 on just 12v if you look to buy a new starter, this would be a good choice

I get to find out if my Minimax starter http://www.heli-world.com/Merchant2...&Category_Code= will have enough juice on a 12v battery to start a OS91 C-Spec in a few days.

My fathers MiniMax starts his MVVS 120 twin aero engine easier than his Dynatron does ( on 12v ) .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

The 180 shouldn't be a problem... My hobbico 90 14.4v (2x 1900 6 cell packs) starts my Y.S 91 fine. However, I'm planning to upgrade to 7 cell packs soon.

The Torqmaster 180 will start you 90 fine on 12 or 14.4 volts (14.4 even better).

The problem is quality . . . I went through 3 of them in less than a year.

I use a 12 volt 7 amp lead battery in a start box and I tried the Sullivan Dynatron and on 12 volts I found it NO STRONGER than the Torqmaster 180. If you are not going to run 14.4 or higher voltage, don't waste your money on the Dynatron.

I replaced the Torqmaster with the Sullivan Hi-Tork and it's working great. The Hi-Tork is designed to work on 12 volts so it gives it's all every time. The Dynatron is designed to work on 12 to 24 volts but it's the same wiring so of course it's going to be weaker on 12 volts.

The 180 with 2 7 cell packs will turn over a 90 with ease. I run the 180 with 2 2000mah 7 cell packs on it and it starts anything thrown at it so far (Cspecs, YS, etc) You should be just fine
