Put on some greenie paddles recently. Soooo nice now.
But I noticed the plastic is noticeably softer and when I tightened the set screws, and not hard even, is that they seemed to slip (strip?). On the black and even the white paddles they seemed to grip harder to the flybar. So to be safe I ca'd it where the rod enters the paddle and on the inspection hole. Only way to be sure if it's tight is to try and twist the paddles. But didn't want to try that. My question is. How are the forces when doing 3d to throw the paddles out of alignment?

I've had the same problem and did have one slip. I had done a hard pullout of a dive and the thing just dove and rolled into the ground.

On inspection the paddle with the stripped screw was turned down 45. I had put ca in the screw hole which allowed me to tighten it a bit more but I didn't ca the flybar. That's all that was used on some MA birds so it should be good enough.

The real point of terrorism is not the act itself, but our reaction to the act.

Resurrect thread
I just bought me a set of the Rap30 blue paddles which came in yesterday and was able to install it last night. The problem is one of the set screws threaded in fine, but the other seemed to have stripped the thread. I tried rotating the paddles and it seems like it's on there pretty good and making a descent contact with the flybar, but i just can't get it out of my head that the threads are striped. I'm afraid that the paddles might rotate and misalight during flight. What do you guys recommend I do?
