Hi..

I have a OS50Hyper and just recently started using 30% fuel - Bekra from Model Technics

Now I have one-two flights and the glow plug is totally wasted - the spiral wire is just gone!

I check for temperature on the backplate and it's usually quite cold... I can hold my fingers for 10s no prob.

I'm maybe not very good with the collective - so I'm loading the heli probalbly to much..

...ah yes.. I'm using OS nr.8

I have the same problem with my OS91PS, running cool but blowing plugs. I was wondering whether I need to fit a shim...

What did you use to seal the header to engine? Part of the coil could be leftover in the cylinder or other debris, and blow the new plug. The engine may need a shim. You may be on the lean side, even if the backplate is cool, you need to observe close while flying. You could have had a flooded engine and squashed the element to the side and distorted it, leading to premature failure. The plug may be too hot a range try one range lower. If you have a tuned pipe it may be too short, and many other possibilities. May have been a bad plug to start with, try one from another lot, or a different brand. Chris
