Hey
Hey Wallbanger, if there such crap why dont you switch brands. I have never had a problem with a TT Auto Hub and i have had many Raptors. The last Fun Fly i was at i won the Auto contest with a Raptor.

Well well fellow QUK pilot nice to meet you too.. BTW It has been my experience, your mileage may vary.. Why don't I switch?.. Because all helis have a problem or two.. I just figured TT would have fixed it before someone else had to.. I have two complaints about Raptors.. Autohub and clutches.. Please get a grip on yourself.. I just posted my and about 200 other peoples experience with the autohub.. I am very sorry you took offense.. By the way it was the constant nagging that made them change the servo depth on the collective servo as well.. I am glad you have no problems with any part of a Raptor. It could be that maybe our flying styles differ? But you and everyone else may have also thought of that already.

BTW congrats on your win

I have to agree, the TT auto hub should have been re-engineered long ago, not sure why TT chose to ignore and even deny the problem, but they did. Thankfully Quick UK took up the responsibility to fix what the manufacture couldn't or wouldn't. I currently have three raptors, all of them have had problems with the auto hubs, most of them have been through mutliple replacements and still have lockup problems. Heli-pres, if you are having such good luck, how about sharing your secret with the rest of us, since you seem to be about the only person I know of that hasn't had problems.

Hey Heli-pres
It's all good man, I know we get passionate about our heli's, I am the same way, no-one but me calls my raptors, craptors hehe. I love the Raptors I just wish TT would get on with its customer. And I wasn't really going after Raptor in that post, I was more trying to get across a good autohub will not use up as much energy as a bad one. I apologize, I should have done a better job explaining that. When I re-read it, it could sound like I was attacking TT and not just accepting the autohub being a sore spot and being happy a new QUK one is being released . Anyway, no hard feelings we are just stickin up for what we believe in

BTW I have "horrible" Hirobo's too LMFAO

Not known yet switch, I wish I had that answer for you.. Field testing is very important to make sure we gather data and real life performance measurements from many different building and flying styles. We are giving Budd at QUK constant updates on what our results are. Should be to market soon enough when field testing is done.

VAT is yet another tax 'opportunity' the British government gives us to contribute cash to them......now if they were spending it on the latest blades or a new gyro i could understand but they just seem to waste it !..

VAT is like the sales tax paid in the US - except its 17.5%, not 3% or so

VAT is "value added tax", and actually a much fairer system. Normal sales tax is a percentage of sales price, however many times the item changes hands. You therefore theoretically have multiple episodes of taxation, but it is easier to administer by the tax department.

VAT, however, is a tax on the value added to the item, so in effect you're only being taxed on the bit that wasn't taxed before, if you understand what I mean! Added value may be by means of manufacture, or reselling.

3% sales tax may be more than 17.5% VAT, depending on the value added.

Remember that we don't pay VAT if we order from outside of the UK.

Yeah but if you shipped something to me here in the US I wouldn't have to pay taxes well atleast a copter,,the only items that would be taxed again here again is a car, house, boat, motorcycle, business or thinks of that nature , but if I sold you a copter there is no tax and 17%.5 is quite a chunk as opposed to 3%
When I order stuff form Cyberheli there is no tax, I sold an engine to a guy in the UK once and he asked me to say the value was lower than what he paid me for it. I believed he was taxed.

Perhaps I should have stated it more clearly: you only pay VAT if you live in the UK, regardless if you buy the item in the UK, or have it imported. VAT is not charged for items purchased by someone outside of the UK.

Hence the request by the British fellow to quote a lower price, and hence pay less tax to his government.

Anyway, we digress, as this post is about QuickUK's wonderful new auto-hub!!!

Yes
PietervA:~~~~~ Wonderful it is ! ~~~~~

I just got my R90 up and going and put 3 tanks thru it... funny thing I have never had an auto hub sit there and spin slow while the engine was @ idle!!" Rotor not moving" NO NOT BROKE! Just that free non~friction spin you would do while the engine is off to test the one way hub well this was moving while the engine was just idling TOO COOL ! I have never seen one do that before that’s all nothing special just thought it was cool.

First 3 flights just breaking in the engine and auto hub everything going smooth..

Will be @ the Austin Fun Fly this coming weekend 21st~23rd & we will have 2 R90’s there with the Quick UK Auto Hub on them & If your in the area or coming to the Fun Fly Please be sure to come over & Chat!
