I use 9650 on pre drilled carbon plate #M3058 for logo 14, whats wrong with it ? I cannot put the nuts because vertical mouting holes of the servo are preventing me to do so. Because of these vertical mounting holes the carbon plate cannot be positionned like in the manual (plate below servo holes and not plate above servo holes like in my assembly). Do I have to trim the vertical mounting holes on 9650 servos ?

Should I use metallic cylinders given with silent blocks of 9650 servos ?

I only had a problem with one side, where the elevator servo mounted amd just had to 'hack' the elevator servo area. I trimmed the rubber bushings (on top) and using a dremel to sand the plastic mount for the upper mainshaft bearing block was able to make it fit fine. The sanding of that mount didn't take any strength from the support. Yes, I used the steel sleves that go through the rubber grommets.

Hope that helps,

The 9650's come with horizontal and vertical mounting brackets. You have to cut off the vertical ones. Use a dremel or something to cut them of as clean as possible. Dont try to break them off, that could cause the whole servo casing to crack.

Had to trim off some of the horizontal mount of one of the servos too, just like pwkpete describes.

Use the sleves in the rubber grommets to prevent the grommets deforming when you tighten down the bolts. The collar of the sleves should go against the carbon plate.

What comes around goes around.
