Do Piroflips like Alan's seem more 'compact' & 'flip' faster than regular flips?? Am wondering if the CG changes when piroing as it combines both fore/aft and lateral CGs (this one has less inertia to overcome therefore combining this with F/A equals less inertia than F/A alone.)

Or is it just an illusion?

The fastest flip rate is the same as the fastest piroflip rate regardless of the flip radius, ie how axial it is. Piroflips just look faster because there is more going on.
