He was an amature home kit plane builder aswell as a musician, he had an "experimental" plane which crashed killing him.

I can seriously see this aero-omni doing the same thing, seems his stuff is experimental and it all looks home built, and I think he will kill (that is be responcible for) someone before long.

Don't worry about the people that slam you for asking a question. Just try a search next time.

John Denver was not the builder. The plane was purchased one day before the crash. See CNN

didn't think I was slamming him, just pointing out that this guy has a bit of a checkered history and to not have any dealings with him

hope no offence taken

It's at the top of this page, between "CALENDAR" and "REGISTER".

See the John denver tribute site (which I linked to earlier)

http://www.hotshotdigital.com/artis...denver/tribute/

......and CNN never gets its "facts" mixed up.

Infact, it says on that CNN page you linked to
While drawing no firm conclusions, the NTSB report stated that Denver's homemade Long E-Z
That means its classed as an experimental aircraft.

Read my lips. Denver did NOT build the airplane. Yes, it was licensed experimental, and was probably built in someones garage, but not Denvers. Nice to see you revised your post

Yea, stay the heck away from AeroDork blades and such unless you want some wide, cool looking, epoxy mixing sticks.

Cant see your lips, read my keystrokes, homemade = experimental as far as the FAA is concerned.

And read this, he DID build homemade aircraft, and read this, CNN is hardly reliable, but who gives a f**k.

I think you may have taken my correction out of context. You said "he built an "experimental" plane which crashed killing him" All I wanted to comment on was that John Denver was not the builder of the aircraft. PERIOD! I never said it was/wasn't experimental. And while I will agree that CNN has it's moments, perhaps you find this report to be a little more substantial in the credibility department.NTSB Report

And while you don't come out and say it, it seems that you would equate experimental with junk. Some of the finest examples of aviation engineering, performance and beauty have been placarded "EXPERIMENTAL". And most factory aircraft flying today started life as 'experimentals'

And stop trying to shift the focus from your error. You're the one that said
Ahhh, aero-omni, the john denver of rotor blades
One has absolutely nothing to do with the other! Geeesh!!

Harvey my post was not directed towards you but rather rotorpsycho. and after rereading his post it could be taken either way. It could be taken as telling him not to ask questions but rather search everytime.
And not everyone is as computer savvy as he stated. Sorry for any misunderstandings.
