Hello
Newbie question. Just installed G2 simulator and a new Radeon 9250 3D card. The G2 simulator program loads with a white screen and tabs to allow you to select the aircraft type, airport, etc. Should there be a flying field in the screen already? Trying to figure out how to start flying?
Thanks

Make sure you have the latest graphics card drivers and the latest version of the software.

How you get the latest drivers depends on your hardware. If it is a laptop, you may need to go to the manufacturers website to get the drivers. Otherwise you should have no problem finding drivers on the ATi website.

To get the latest version of G2, you should be able to use the online update tool. The last version of G2 was 2.00.723. If you have problems updating with the online update tool, contact technical support or as a last resort PM me.

You may try turning off the fog. To do so, uncheck the Airport | Show Fog option.

You may also want to try disabling hardware vertex processing. To do that, uncheck Options | Direct3D… | Direct3D… | Use Hardware Vertex Processing if Available.

3D and Realflight G2
Hello
Thanks for the reply. I tried turning off the fog and also disabled hardware vertex processing. This didn't help, still have a blank
window. I will check the ATI website tonight as theyre doesn't seem to be any phone support.

You don't want their technical support group. You want to download and install the latest drivers. You don't say if you are using a laptop or not, so I'm assuming that you are not.

Make absolutely sure that you are running the 2.00.723 version of RealFlight. I believe that you should be able to do this from the Help | About menu. If you are not running that version, you need to update.

Once you've done that, you should download the CATALYST drivers from the ATI website and install them according to their directions.

I downloaded the Catalyst drivers tonight. The Real flight wouldn't let me
download the new version of G2. Connected and said "no response from server".
I did the troubleshooting of the video card and system and everything seems to pass. Even getting good video on my computer , but G2
still gives me a white(blank) screen.

I have the same problem, and as in the past just upgraded the software. However it seems the online update has been down for about 2 days now. Does this mean they no longer support G2?

I recall having this same problem on my laptop. Under airports in the menu un-check the 3d terrain. I also have the latest update to the g2 program and the latest control panel if you need them. They are 7 meg if you want them emailed to you let me know.
