Has any one ever tried R 50 gearing on an R 30 ?
I have a very strong running TT 39 in an R 30 V2.
I thought I would try it, just to check the results

Not a good choice. You'll be running in an RPM range where your motor won't be so happy.
If you want to better harness the power of your motor, try a Raptor 50 boom/belt and some 570-580 blades.

I don't see the TT39 producing enough power to run anything over 550mm blades, the 50 boom and belt might give you a little better tail control, but I think you will bog quit easily with 50 gearing.

Ignorance is curable, stupidity is for life.

I agree with the Robs. The TT just doesn't have it.

Thanks for all the input.
Last week I bought another R 50 ( used ) .
I was thinking of just using my TT 39 with 550 blades .
Scrap that idea unless I go to a 30 gearing
