It's like an inverted auto with a ground-skimming roll-out. Except the heli comes down UPRIGHT & very fast with maximum headspeed and does a ground-skimming FULL ROLL!

Wow.I'd like to see that one.I'm sure it's a calculated risk auto because that's using a lot of energy for that flat roll.

Curtis sort of does this on the Maximun 3D DVD, only he comes in inverted and does a half roll skimming the ground!

Half roll vs. full roll is a big difference.

I agree

I think it can be done but will require deep pockets or great sponsorship support to accomplish.

I just pulled one on G3.Not easy, but I bet it's possible in real life. It's still a dice roll, even for the world class guys............I'm an aerobatic auto freak.I love them. The other day I just pulled about 30 inverted flip out autos from under 3ft with an R50 and TT600s........before I finally caught the tail fin.No damage except the boom pushed 1/8" into the frame and needed readjustment.

Definitely Possible
Actually...I would not try it in real life at the moment. I just tried a couple on G3 also and did it on my second try but I just have too many things that I want to continue working on to risk crashing right now.

I think this will be a sexy auto when performed without crashing and with finesse. I'm sure someone will pull it off in the near future.

I have done a pull out with half piro flip on the evo 50 plenty of times but I have also botched my share of simple autos on the 50 usually because I'm still in a larger disc mode from my 90.

I probably lost count of how many times I went home feeling stupid, hehehe. I still love it!

Pete has a good point. You can do thousands of autos and still muck up the last one.

I'll have go, but only if I see Pete do it first

I agree though, it won't be long before somebody gives it a try and pulls it off. I have seen some videos and heard some storys of crazy autos being tried.

The problem is doing it repeatedly without spanking your model.

Sponsorship or not, it is still a pain in the asre repairing models.

Paul

Yes, inverted auto is possible, I was fortunate to see Marcus Kim do several here at our flying field in Jamaica W.I. a few months ago. He's really great! At about 5 ft he flips it over right-side up and cushion it down with the colective on a spot he picked. Awsome!
