Still chicken and using the hoola hoop.
But turned the thing around yesterday.
Did get one really weird wobble on the first flight
that one of the guys said might be
the hoola hoop causing it. Was hard
to recover from but just let it run it's course.
Second flight ran smooth never got the wobble again,
very strange though. Althogh i did readjust the hoola to exact center
because I noticed it was off about an inch from centered.
Hadn't flown for 2 weeks, and starting was little harder than usual.
engine started real easy and ran great second flight

Once you take the hoola hoop off you will find that the wobbles go all bye bye -Steve

Congrats,
I can't tell you how many times on the way to the field I told myself that this was going to be the day that I was going to do the same thing, only to find some reason why I should wait until the next time out. If your like me, after doing it, I wondered why I just didn't try it sooner. Anyway, having a site like RunRyder where you can share your progress with fellow heli pilots who realize what it takes to get to the next level, makes it all worthwhile.
Safe flying,
Dave

I enjoy this hobby alot. The rotor sound is
something else!!
It took me a long time to get to flying and
the first crash before flying at all
was not too much fun.
I have done some dumb things and even recently
had started the thing up with the sim profile.
So now i know how to reuild the clutch liner.
Heli's definately demand attention to detail if
you don't always want to be rebuilding.
And there is alot of benefit to this hobby
because it forces you to keep you're reflexes and brain sharp.
And this translates to areas you wouldn't think, like
driving, work etc.
