Which linkage should be adjusted for main blade tracking?
The manual suggest setting blade pitch by changing the long control rod from the swash to the mixing lever. It looks like the short rod could also be used (from the flybar to the mixing lever)? Any suggestions?

When set pitch with a pitch gauge, the blades should track perfectly unless your blade is defect or too soft. As for rod adjustment, it really does not matter which one to adjust as long as when your radio at mid stick, pitch angle should be zero. I usually play with long rods, it's easier.

Thanks, I had adjusted the long rod but wanted to be sure.

I closed the links by 3 turns and that got them perfectly in track.

I was having problems with vibration cusing the fuel to foam when running RPM over 1700. After changing the tracking it seems much better but still have some vibration in the fuel tank.

What engine do you have in the Revolution? I would use a header tank for the O.S. 91. I have a YS91 with HB 16 FH in mine, and smooth....

I have the YS91 with a Zimmerman pipe. I like the zimmerman pipes on my 50s so I wanted to try one on my Revolution. Thomas had been testing the Zimmermans and provided me with a suitable muffler. It fits well and sounds very smooth.

I'm running a header tank but the foaming was causing the header to drain before the main tank was low.
The tracking change helped and I suspect that as the engine wears in and I lean it out, the vibration should be reduced.

Looking forward to getting it flying.

The foaming is not caused by vibration. The OS91 needs a check valve in the fuel line from the header tank to the carb. Thses engines have a defect that allows crankcase pressure to escape back into the fiel line. This is most prevelent in the OS91.

Voyager, you may want to check the balance of the fan+clutch assembly if the vibration is still persistence. And check your gear mesh for smoothness. These are the two sources of high resonance that could cause foaming. YS is known to be very well balance engine, so I do not think it's the engine.

Thanks all for the comments.

I called the problem 'fuel foaming' but I think it was more like the fuel just sloshing around too much.

After tuning the engine things seem to be good now.
