Hi al,

I have 2 rap90;s with C-spec ps and 8,27 gearing that both have a MPII.
I want to give the new Hatori FS 3D muffler a try on one of them to compare with the MPII.

I know the Hatori makes les noise, but does it also have less power?

Anyone compared these 2?

Thanks,
Marcel

No, SB-17FH is US only and is a little different. they seem very similar on the outside, im not exactly sure of the differences.

Not what your´re asking but..
I went from a MP2 on YS at 8.45 to a SB16FH and then a 90FS3D (#937), and I dont regrets it either.
But again, this was with a YS and on 8.45.

Dr
The SB16-FH is very well suited for YS on 8.45.
The SB17-FH (first gen) looks alot like the #937 (for YS) / #938 (for OS), but should be shorter now and have a completely different inside. though the baffles seems to fitted alot like on the #937 / #938.
The #937 and #938 (90FS-3D) is 2 long (longer than SB16-FH) mufflers, Im using a #937 on 8.45 and it seems to be working better than what the SB16-FH (IMO) did on 20% nitro.
All of the above mentioned mufflers are made by Hatori, they all have the floating head (-FH) mount.
The SB (16 and 17 in this case) series of Hatoris is a so called 'US only', now Skyline (I think it was) is selling some of them as well.

Hope some parts of this above is useful reading.

Are there different versions of the muffler that's longer than the SB16(SB17 or SB18 I think?) for different gear ratios? I remember hearing somewhere that there are.
