I was looking at this guys gallery...you have to scroll down to 'other'. He has a pic a a heli inverted, while someone is lying underneath. It looks sort of real but I'm sure has several feet lateral separation.

http://runryder.com/gallery/5348/ (go to other..half way down)

I'm quite sure it's an illusion...the fellow lying down is much closer to the camera than the heli.. cool pic...Thanks

Looks photoshopped. I like the Enterprise on the other pic. I wonder how much that kit was!

Its photoshopped.

I doubt it was a real good attempt to fool people, more just looking like they overlayed the image to provide the result you see.

This was discussed earlier, and the owner admitted the inverted heli was several feet behind the guy. It is an optical illusion, but not photoshopped.

telephoto distortion.
It can be done in camera quite easily, just throw a long lens on and go to f/16 ish

Looks photoshopped to me. Look at the example:

His image:

Another helictoper in flight image:

Look at the tail fin's vertical edge to the background of the sky. A non-altered image of something in-between would not be edgy like so. The blending done by the camera is typically a two to three pixle width edge.

A low-res digital camera that saves its files as JPEG will have artifacts like that in the original "photo".

Nah,
I dont buy that
From all my photo-editing i'd say its an origional...
You look aronud the canopy, the mixing of colours around the canopy and the trees behind is just to good...
The heli end of the boom, the way it merges into the picture...
Thats not a cut and paste jobby....
And if the heli was put in there someone has WAY to much time on their hands to merge it like that lol...

I'm not saying its impossible to have "put in"... just unlikely due to the qulity
(not the picture qulity but the way the heli appears to blend in around the edges and the shadings/shaddows/mergings spot on etc)

A whole lot easier to just fake the picture in the first place. Why waste time with photoshop? Does look cool though. I wonder how long it will take some idiot to try to do it for real??

Looks to me like the heli and background are original, and the guy was edited in there. Guess not though if it's just a perspective thing.

why is it so hard to believe? i mean with the "characters" here on RR i wouldnt doubt it if someone would really lay down and have a heli hover over them quickly and snap the pic... think about it.... u bunch of crazy @#$%^!!

even tho i agree with the above posts about the heli being several feet to the left of the guy and not directly over him....

Why do you guys need to keep debating how this was done??? Follow the link supplied by "daren" - The people that created the picture show how it was done. And - No, it was not edited.
