Gear ratio 7.9:1:4.77(80-90) 8.45:1:4.77 (80-91 USA)

What's the reason for Hirobo supplying different gear ratios to the US and Rest Of The World? Is the air denser in the US, or what?

I was going to order one from Rick's (they're not available here in the UK yet), but now I'm worried in case it doesn't fly well in European skies!

Reason is MRC decided to make the US kits have the 8.45. Just like they added the teflon sleeve and the blue radius block and a couple other things.

8.45 fits the YS very well.

The difference is that Americans don't give a flying patootie how much noise they make. Therefore we can run engines at their horsepower peak.
