I finally found a used RD6000, but I'm not really sure what features it has. It's a Sanwa (which I've been told it interchangeable with Airtronics) RD6000. Not the RD6000 Super or Sport, just the plain RD6000. Does this model have 5-point pitch and throttle curves like the Super, or is it 3-point like the Sport? Where could I find a manual for this (Airtronics only has the RD6000 Super manual)?

Thanks.

Do you remember your last thread? http://runryder.com/t200140p1/

Read my comments about the curves. The original RD6000 is more like the RD6000 Super.

If the transmitter is all Black it will have a 3 point curve. If it has Chrome on the front, it will be a 5 point curve.

I'll post it again here.

The The original had "RD6000" in green lettering and is NOT the sport. It is the original RD6000 and had 5 point curves.

The Sport had "RD6000 Sport" in red lettering and had 3 point curves.

The Super had "RD6000 Super" in blue lettering and had 5 point curves.

AirWolfRC, I understood, I was just challenging Alan on what he said because it [what he said] doesn't make sense.

The rd6000 that has the 3 point curves have no chrome trim on the front of the Xmitter, they are all black.

I won the auction for an all-black RD6000, so I'll see soon enough if it's 3/5 points. I really doubt the exterior appearance has anything to do with the electronics, though.

onebigjunker, an Airtronics RD6000 is an Airtronics RD6000. Not a Sport. All RD6000's feature 5 point pitch and throttle curves, regardless of the cover plate color.

I think you are missing the point here.

The RD6000 (first RD6000 series issued), the RD6000 Super and the RD8000 all have a chrome front facia. They also all have 5 point pitch and throttle curves. The RD6000 Sport has an all black plastic facia and 3 point pitch and throttle curves. If yours is all black then its the Sport version.

Now do you understand?

OK . . . enough.

My last post pretty well clears it up about the three different RD6000's.

Picture from the auction I won:

Notice "RD6000" in what appears to be green, definitely not "RD6000 Sport" red. Notice the entirely black face plate. An RD6000 with 5 point pitch/throttle curves and a black face plate it is.
OK . . . enough.

What you have there is the first release of the RD6000 which does have 5 point pitch and throttle curves. Notice the chrome on the front?? The RD6000 Sport has no chrome on the front as it is all black.

The next release was the RD6000 Super which is basically the same as the regular first release RD6000 (what you have) except the Super has 8 model memory instead of 4 and some differences in toggle switches at the top of the radio.

BTW - What else, if anything, did you get with the Transmitter and what did you pay? Was this on E-Bay?

You should have received a manual and a wall plug charger plus a battery in the radio at the very least. Do ou have all that?

I received the transmitter, box, wall charger, and receiver pack for $61 + $13 shipping. As far as I know there the seller is not including a manual, but I have a copy from Airtronic's website.
Notice the chrome on the front??
I don't see any chrome in the picture I posted?

Better get your eyes checked before you try to fly anything. Why you can't see the chrome on the front of the radio is a mystery to me.

I can't see the transmitter.

If God had meant for man to fly, he would have given him more money
