I am having a problem keeping a constant head speed with my CC35/Mega 16/15/3. I have it set on governor high and it will spin up good. Then after about 30-45 seconds drop a good 500RPM. Then after about a minute it will come back up to speed. Also the motot is getting pretty hot only after a minute of flying. No idea what temp but it is very hot to the touch. I am also running a Medusa 2amp BEC. Any ideas?

Try to use non-governor mode instead to see any improvement.

I've got my Mega 16/15/3 on standard. It's the default. The power seems a bit weak so I'm looking for some improvement. Maybe high advance will help.

I picked up ~100 rpm with advanced timing settings on my cc35 using a mega 16/15/4 w/16t pinion and 3s-1800 PQ's. This took it up to 2400 rpm (using 320mm cf Sab's) which seems perfect to me. 2300 rpm was a bit on the slow side. I did not really notice any significant difference in duration (maybe ~1 minute less, at most) and the motor temps are fine (marginally warmer, but not hot). I use an Align heatsink on it and this helps a bit (and looks cool too).

Cheers,

TomC

Helijunky,

Isn't dangerous for the lio if you set your cutoff at 6V?

i guess it could be Titman, i just watch the flight times real close,i have my timer set to 91/2 min. and with my pro lite 2100.s i go about 45 sec over that and still have pleanty of power to land safely,if i set cutoff to 9v i get half way through my pac and it kicks into soft shut down, for some reason even though there is still 12v left in the pac
