is there a head assembly out that you dont have to worry about the fuel tube mod? i want to just buy an upgraded metal head that i can use the stock 450xl blade grips but dont have to worry about all the flex of the feathering shaft and o-rings.

fwiw..

I wouldn't worry too much about the stock damping setup...I use one extra .5mm thick washer per side and swap out the o-rings every 30/40 flights....I beat mine and the stock head works great...Too firm and it gets twichy...

where exactly do you put that extra washer? my stock head needs replacing so i thought i would get the metal version and still use the stck grips just in case of a crash they should break first.

its got to be exatly the rite size washer,it needs to fit on the fethering shaft
between the o-ring and the plastic spacer, myself the trick was in finding the rite size washer ,now that i have i can get my v-2 to track perfectly with an old stock
head and plastic grips, good rule of thumb,is if its not broke it dont need replacing

the only thing i think you have to wory about on the xl.s is the stock swash comes apart real easy, i have built a couple of them and they all have had the same problem the way to check it is just insert the main shaft about a 1/4in
into the swash and pry on it just a bit, more that likely it will pop right out, from there all you need to do is re ca glue it back in and let it dry over night

anyway yea the rotor heads should be interchangeable from a v-2 to and xl
