Are the plastic blades good for anything on the Align?
I broke my wood set and want to fly until I get some new ones.

Can I use the plastic ones?

Are the head speeds the same?

Can I go inverted?

Thanks,
Gary

Plastic blades...
I too trashed my wood blades, then mounted the yellow fiberglass ones. The yellow blades are heavier, so they make the heli more stable. They flex more, so most people prefer the wood or carbon fiber blades (I've heard the more experienced pilots refer to the yellow blades as "paint stirrers").

I've already purchased two sets of the 335mm wooden blades, but I'm sticking with the yellow blades for now because of their durability. I'm still in the learning phase and occasionally tip over. The wood blades snapped fairly easy but the yellow blades have held up fine. Because I prefer to spend my time flying rather repairing, I'm willing to sacrifice some performance to gain durability.

I had trouble getting the yellows to track, so I switched immediately to the woodies. other then that I suppose they are useable. just don't expect too much from them because of the flex issue.

I'm wrong no matter what I do, so I might as well have fun doing it!

The plastic will never track well.. the 335 wood blades are great for ff bf and normal flight . 3D try 315 or 325 woob blades or drop 50 dollers and get the SAB blades they track GREAT ... good luck keep trying they will get there ....
