I am trying to cut the cost of electric (!)

Does anyone still use nimh for the Logo14? I have noticed these cells are available:

3.7AH does seem very good, and a 14 cell pack could be about £80.

No lithiun fires, safe charging, and can use all the available capacity without damage.

What disadvantages are there?

Hi Mondeo_man,

The main disadvantages are weight and capacity. You get lipos with higher capacity that weighs less.

If you want to do a hot 3D HV setup you would in theory need something like 30 nimh cells - but that would be too heavy for 3D

Just to get started nimh's will work fine.

If you are new to electrocs it is probably smart to plan ahead and get a charger that also can do lipos and a ESC that can handle more than 14 nimh's

What comes around goes around.
