I'm looking for a muffler that will fit in my Hirobo EC135 project. My SB16 protrudes to far forward, into the cockpit area.

I saw some pics of a SB70 on heliproz, but you never know- many sites use the same muffler picture for different models.

The critical dimention is that the length betwen the center of the exhast port and the forward tip of the muffler is less than 55mm. The SB16 is about 70-80mm.

I'm willing to change engines if needed to get a muffler that fits. (Currently a YS80).

Thanks!

Anyone got a picture of their heli
with a SB70? I want to see if it looks the same as in the Heliproz online catalog. If it does, it's the muffler I'll order.

If it's not, I'll continue my search.

A 91 muffler should also work good on the 80.

Here is a picture of an SB-70 mounted on my OS-70 SZ-H in my Freya.

Very quick measurements yield the following:

Tip of front to centerline of exhaust header: 60 mm
Centerline of exhaust header to tip of exhaust outlet: 190 mm
Edge of crankcase exhaust port to centerline of muffler: 45 mm

The clamp at the rear is a Miniature Aircraft mount, from Heliproz.

Hope this helps.

Dave
